When the C10 Nationals held their first Salt Lake City show, Chris showed up in his ’84 Squarebody C10 he named “Cashmere.”

“I graduated in ’84, and so I basically wanted an ’84 through an ’86 and I looked for three and a half years and lucked out and find this one and I bought it in August of 2020,” Chris said.

Cashmere has undergone extensive work, and Chris not only has the receipts to prove this but also plans to add on more.

“I bought it from a guy in Oklahoma who has become a good friend, and he sent it and sent all his receipts of over fifty grand that he put in the truck, and so I put quite a bit into it as well and we’ll put even more,” Chris said. “I should’ve nicknamed it ‘BOAT’ instead of Cashmere for ‘bring on another thousand.'”

  1. The 1984 Silverado looks good. I have a 1987 Silverado my father ordered in 1987. Last of the square bodies. He sold it to me in 1988 with 1500 miles on it. With the exception of a couple of years that my daughter used it, it has been in my possession. In 2007 it had 69,000 miles on it. I personally took the truck apart, put in a 350 crate (it had a leaking 305) and put the Silverado back together. A local shop repainted the truck. As of today the truck has 72,000 miles and it is kept in my shop.
